Homespun Heaven...

One of the major trends this season is the "Homespun" look, encompassing all items that look handmade. Here at Caramel, we absolutely love this trend - not only is it stylish but it will also keep you snug and cosy as the weather starts to get colder! Just go for lots of layering, chunky knits and scarves. Cable knit designs are especially desirable!

Falling perfectly into the "homespun" trend is Lazy Daze, one of our accessories brands that we spotted at the Devon County Show! We have some absolutely gorgeous Lazy Daze scarves, gloves and hats which are all hand knitted in Devon by Karen (the owner) or her mother, Freda. Karen also works with an organisation that supports rural women in Uruguay who have been involved in hand dying some of the wool that Lazy Daze uses.

As Karen, herself, puts it: "My aim is to give people true value... they get a quality raw material and the whole story behind it... ". Karen is dedicated to hand crafted items and believes in maintaining traditional skills that could so easily be forgotten. We hope you love her brand as much as we do!

Introducing... Fever And Ingenue!

We are really pleased to be able to introduce 2 new labels this season: Fever and Ingenue.

Fever Designs is all about individual style, contemporary design and great quality. They offer something a little bit different - perfect for standing out from the crowd!

Ingenue is a new fashion label which is "inspired by the everyday woman". Their slinky jersey dresses are incredibly flattering and are designed to suit all ages. The label is becoming increasingly popular and already has a huge celebrity following. Just ask Helen Mirren or Emilia Fox!

Fever is currently only available in our Exmouth shop and on our website, although we are happy to bring items over for our Honiton customers, if requested. x
